Caccini Necklace - Capuccino

£175

*Limited Edition*

A traditional opera-style necklace, featuring a hand-lacquered flower as statement piece. Available in Green, Cappuccino, and Ruby - Lovingly hand-made in Italy.

This necklace is named after the prolific sixteenth-century composer Francesca Caccini. Considered a prodigy at the Italian Renaissance courts as a female singer, multi-instrumentalist, poet and composer, she penned what is today thought of as the oldest opera ever to have been written and staged by a woman. Her seminal work ‘La Liberazione di Ruggiero’ (1625) was commissioned by her patron Archduchess Maria Magdalena of Austria, earning her great esteem from her contemporaries and making her the highest paid musician at the Florentine court in the 1620s. Her musical talents made her a Medici court favourite, earning her the nickname ‘La Cecchina’.

All of our jewellery is created by sourcing the highest quality Italian-made beads, and carefully hand-made in Milan. We want the best for you so please see the steps below to best take care of your Pietrasanta jewellery.

The wiring, clasps and studs may tarnish naturally over time -  cleaning your jewellery with a lint-free cloth & storing it in a dark spot can avoid this. Avoid contact with perfumes, sprays, cosmetics, creams, humidity and extreme temperatures, as it might damage the resin and metal parts. When travelling with your jewellery, it's a good idea to store it in a rigid box to avoid external pressures from damaging your statement pieces. All of our jewellery comes with a branded pouch and presentation box to help you take the best care of your jewellery.
