Find Out More About Accardi
To remember and honour the identities of the women that inspire us and whose stories we wish to celebrate, we have named each piece of jewellery after a female pioneer at the forefront of Italian history.
Our Accardi line is named in honour of the great Carla Accardi, a Sicilian painter, feminist activist, and key figure in Italy’s avant-garde movement.
Celebrated as a leading artist in the field of abstract art, she was also a central figure in the struggle for gender equality in post-war Italy. In 1970, she co-founded the 'Rivolta Femminile'(the Female Revolt) group together with fellow activists Carla Lonzi and Elvira Banotti. 'Rivolta Femminile' was one of Italy’s first feminist groups with its own publishing house, that printed and disseminated contemporary feminist literature.
